Anxiety Workshop
Practical, evidence-based tools to help you understand and manage anxiety — completely free, at your own pace.
You're not alone
Anxiety affects millions of people in the UK. It can feel overwhelming, isolating, and hard to explain — but it is manageable, and you don't have to face it alone.
This workshop brings together simple, proven techniques drawn from CBT, mindfulness, and breathing science. Work through each module in your own time, as many times as you need.
Workshop modules
Work through each one in order, or jump to what you need most
Quick-relief techniques
Use these any time anxiety rises
Cold water
Splash cold water on your face or hold ice. Activates the dive reflex and slows your heart rate within seconds.
Brain dump
Write every anxious thought onto paper without editing. Getting it out of your head reduces its power.
Hum or sing
Humming activates the vagus nerve, which directly calms the nervous system. Even 60 seconds helps.
Progressive relaxation
Tense each muscle group for 5 seconds then release. Work from feet to face. Releases physical tension.
Nature exposure
Even looking at a photo of nature reduces cortisol. Step outside if you can — even for 2 minutes.
Talk to someone
Saying your worries out loud to a trusted person reduces their intensity. Connection is medicine.
Anxiety relief games
Six interactive tools to calm your mind, challenge anxious thinking, and ground yourself in the present moment.
